Our Mission

Our mission as the Edina Dance Team is to provide our student athletes with respect, honesty and opportunity both in dance, personal development and school involvement. Our team’s focus exceeds past just dance ability, and also is dedicated to our athletes growing as teammates and leaders. EDT hopes to provide a welcoming atmosphere and values all individual’s strengths and uniqueness. Together we work to be our best every year both on the floor and off the floor - GO EDT!

Tradition

Our program understands the importance of team culture to be our best. We work hard, but we have fun while holding each other accountable to our team values. Our culture is built on a tradition of trust, strong work ethic, passion and sharing a love for our sport. We will continue to strengthen our EDT values year after year and always welcome home our amazing alumni to complete our EDT Family. Tradition lives strong with EDT!

EDT Program History

In 2011, Edina Dance Team took on new leadership with Head Coach Kristin Biwan who is currently on her 13th season with EDT. The first year with Coach Biwan the program changed direction and progressed moving toward the team we have today. Program history was made when EDT made the 2015 Jazz State Tournament where they placed 4th in AAA Jazz. Since then the team has made 10 State Jazz Appearances & 4 State Kick Appearances.
