Stella Beck / Senior Captain

I’m Stella Beck and I’m one of the senior captains this season! This will be my second year as a captain and my 4th year dancing on varsity for Edina Dance Team. I have made so many amazing friendships over my years on the team and I can’t wait to make so many more this season. Being on EDT has helped me improve so much as a dancer and person. Our team is a family that help push each other to work hard and be our very best. I previously danced at Velocity Dance and Theater for 6 years. As well as being on EDT I am also a captain of Edina Varsity Hornettes. I am very excited for my senior season with all my best friends, I know it will be the best one yet!!

My mission as a leader for EDT is to be a positive influence in my teammates lives. I will be supportive, encouraging, inclusive, and help push to get everyone to give 100% at practice each and everyday.

Reese Burnham / Senior Captain

Hi I’m Reese Burnham and I am one of the senior captains this season! This will be my fifth season with Edina Dance Team and it’s my highlight of winter every year. These past 5 years have been so much fun and it’s always such a blast to create new friendships and grow even closer to everyone who is a part of the program! EDT has taught me many life lessons such as work ethic, the importance of being kind to everyone amongst many other lessons as well. I have previously danced at Platinum Dance Center for 9 years. Along with being an EDT captain for this season I am also a captain for the Edina Hornettes. I am so excited for my senior season with EDT and am looking forward to everything that is in store for us!!

My mission as a leader of EDT is to spread kindness and inspire a sense of unity and belonging amongst the entire program. I will motivate the team to be the best that they can possibly be and make this the best year yet!

Lauren Leiker / Senior Captain

I'm Lauren Leiker and I am excited to be a senior captain for the Edina Dance Team. I have been on our Dance Team for 4 years, and was a Junior captain last season. I have learned so much from my time on the team, and I have memories that I will always hold close to my heart. Being a part of EDT has opened me up to so many opportunities and allowed me to learn from amazing dance instructors and coaches. Since being on EDT, I have met some of my best friends and learned more about what it takes to be a true leader, teammate, and friend. I have been able to grow and mature as a dancer and a person overall. In addition, I am on Hornettes, Edina’s Fall dance team, where I am a Senior Captain. Growing up, I danced at Prairie School of Dance for 14 years, this is where my love for dance began and I learned dedication and respect for the art of dance. Outside of dance you can find me spending time with my friends and family, watching the sunset, swimming, and traveling. I can not wait for the next best season with my EDT family!

My mission is to foster unity, ignite passion, and lead with unwavering dedication. With an optimistic and positive mindset, I aim to create strong friendships through our love of dance and hard work. Together, we will support each other, exceed our limits, and create lasting memories that define our remarkable season.

Molly McGrane / Senior Captain

I’m Molly McGrane and I'm one of the senior captains this year! I have enjoyed every moment with my EDT family so far. We are all so close and have the most supportive community! EDT has helped push my dancing to new levels and has helped me grow as a person. I am excited to share my passion and commitment to dance with this program. I want to push us to a new level and help make this season the best yet! Prior to joining EDT I did competition dance at Platinum Dance Center for 10 years where I discovered my love of dance and met some of my best friends and now teammates. Outside of dance you can find me either studying or going to get ice cream with my friends! I love learning new things and challenging my mind as well as spending quality time with the people I love.

Kate Bishop / Junior Captain

I’m Kate Bishop and I’m one of the junior captains for this season! This will be my fifth year dancing on the varsity Edina Dance Team and have enjoyed every moment of it. It is truly a space like no other and an outlet where I have learned life lessons, set goals, met my best friends, taken risks, and more. Prior to joining the program in middle school, I danced at Platinum Dance Center on the company team for eight years and was able to dance with many inspiring dancers including some of my current high school teammates. I am very excited for this season because of the dedication and grit from these dancers and I can’t wait to help make this another amazing season!

My mission for EDT is to create one equal and connected team. I will work to push the team to achieving new limits and successes and reaching our goals. We will work together through each high and low we may face. I want to lead the team with passion and confidence for Edina to ensure that we are proud of everything we do!

Sylvie Burt / Junior Captain

Hi! My name is Sylvie Burt, and I’m a current 11th grader at Edina High School. I first joined the Edina Dance Team as a 7th grader and did a year on B-Squad. After having so much fun that season, I decided to come back and join the high school dance team where I did a year on JV before making the varsity team as a freshman! I have been dancing since I was 3 years old, and have loved being a part of EDT! I’m beyond excited to be on the Edina Dance Team Captain Committee and hope to bring positivity and a strong work ethic to this season. EDT is family. You are surrounded by fantastic people, in a welcoming environment, where we get to have fun and dance!

If we do anything, we do it together! Winning or losing we are all important to success! I want to help motivate others to work hard and have fun, and make memories that we will cherish forever!

Rozlyn Lippert / Junior Captain

Hi! I am Rozlyn Lippert, one of the junior captains for this upcoming season! I joined the Edina Dance Team in 7th grade where I met some of my very best friends. I didn’t know it then but this decision changed my life. I have grown so much as a person and as a leader from my experience on the team and am so excited to share my passion and knowledge with my teammates as a captain this year! Before joining the EDT family, I danced at Summit Dance Shoppe for 7 years. Outside of dance, I work part time at a restaurant and spend time with family and friends. I can’t wait for the season ahead, I know it will be a great one!

My mission is to passionately lead the team through support, motivation, and confidence. Keeping everyone working hard and giving 100% to push us to achieve our goals. Instilling in everyone we are who we fight for, our team, our family.

Sienna Nooleen / Junior Captain

Hi, I'm Sienna Nooleen, a current 11th grader at Edina High School. This will be my 5th season dancing varsity for the Edina Dance Team. I am a first year junior captain and I am very excited for this season! I am truly honored to have been chosen as a member of the captain committee. I enjoy sharing my passion for dance with my teammates and look forward to helping the team achieve its full potential. In addition, I have danced for 12 years at Victoria Dance Productions and I have been a member of VDP’s senior company for the past three years. I am proud to have a 3.8 GPA and am working towards language seals in both French and Spanish. I am also a member of varsity concert choir and have earned two letters in community service while at EHS. During the summer I work at Just For Kix, Hillside Doodles and Muddy Paws Cheesecake. I enjoy being active in nature and love animals.

My mission statement as a leader of EDT is to help create a space where EDT team members feel excited, driven and committed to their own individual goals, as well as the team's goals as a whole. I also want to implement emotional connection to each other and to the dances we perform, ultimately leading to pride in our program and ourselves. From this solid base of commitment and pride, we can grow as a team and perform at our highest competitive level.
